STRI's Andrea Viski participated in the 2020 EU Export Control Forum on December 20, 2020, where she presented on "Emerging Disruptive Technologies: Promise, Peril, and Towards a Comprehensive Strategy." The presentation was part of a panel on international export control developments and also included Eric Andre Martin of the Institut Français des Relations Internationales (IFRI); Tanja Roeling, Head of Export Controls and Strategic Goods, International Trade Policy and Economic Governance Department, Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the Netherlands, and Aude Jalabert, Trade Compliance Manager, Infineon Technologies / European Semiconductors Industry Association.
The annual EU Export Control Forum provides an opportunity for experts from EU Member States and the European Parliament, industry, academia, and civil society to review and discuss ongoing export control developments in the EU and globally, including prospects for the new EU regulation taking effect in 2021.
