The Strategic Trade Review implements a double blind peer review process for all submitted manuscripts. This necessitates qualified experts on specific strategic trade, export control, and sanctions topics. The objective of the journal's strict peer review is to ensure the quality and accuracy of published material as well as to build a network of experts that participate actively in bringing new information and ideas to a global audience.

Peer reviewers usually have a three week time frame to read an article and submit their comments. A template is provided by the Editor for the review.
